Project Priscilla was started by Ruth and Deb as a way to encourage women to interact on a deeper level and be enriched by each others’ thoughts, conundrums, and musings, and, as a result, grow in their faith.
It grew out of discussions with other women in the church and realizing we all shared a hunger for deeper theological discussions with one another. We know there are several men with deep insights about God from diligent study, but couldn’t think of many women who we would describe as “theological.” We knew it wasn’t because women are less intelligent or have shallower relationships with God. Perhaps the problem wasn’t the lack of theological women, but a lack of them speaking up.
Our goal is to give a voice to those women. We don’t have all the answers, but we want to grow deeper in our relationship with God by sharing what insights we do have.
